Carroll Shelby’s story is perhaps one of the most gripping and utterly incredible in the world of motoring. Having grown up on a farm raising chickens – hence his famous, ever-present tie – he took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the age of thirty-six, winning by lapping the runner-up by a full lap.

Partly due to his intense dislike of the Modena-based manufacturer, which stemmed from a meeting with Enzo Ferrari who had summoned him for the following season, Carroll Shelby hung up his racing helmet and, in 1964, unveiled a car designed to curb Ferrari’s dominance: the 7,000cc, 500hp Cobra 427.

An American icon, this car—a perfect blend of the agility of British chassis and the power of American engines—represents, in the collective imagination of all enthusiasts, the timeless object of desire.

The sinuous lines of the roadster par excellence have remained unchanged over the years, and never has the aesthetics of each example been so meticulously crafted as with this iconic car.

With wheels that are perfect replicas of the originals, Marvic aims to help perpetuate this legendary and timeless story, honouring the passion and extreme drive that led Carroll Shelby to bestow such an incredible legacy upon enthusiasts and the wider public alike.
