Known in period as Carrera 10, the 910 was considered the next sequence in the 906 line: the main difference to it was the use of 13” wheels. It was equipped with a 2200cc 8-cylinder air-cooled engine, with up to 270 hp at incredible 9000 rpm.
The 2000cc 6-cylinder with 200 hp engine derived from the Carrera 6 was used for the Berlinetta version, but the 8-cylinder together with the most used chassis (the coupé and the spyder), will be the ones that will be more successful in competitions.
In fact, the coupé was raced in endurance racing while the spyder mainly entered in hillclimbing.
In Italy this car was and will remain in the hearts and minds of all the enthusiasts of hillclimbling races, in fact it has successfully participated in the prestigious competitions of the time: the Catania-Etna, the Vallecamonica Trophy, Trento-Boldone and the legendary Targa Florio.
