Operation And Care

To speak of the Lancia Stratos is to speak of pure Italian artistry. With bodywork by Bertone based on Marcello Gandini’s unmistakable design, a panelled tubular monocoque chassis and a 2.4-litre Ferrari Dino 246 V6 engine capable of over 280 hp (24 valves) in the racing version, it reigned supreme in the 1970s, winning three World Constructors’ titles (1974–1976) and three European Drivers’ titles, as well as four Monte Carlo Rally victories. 

With its compact shape and short wheelbase, which made it an unbeatable weapon on winding roads, it is a motorsport legend that leaves everyone speechless: a pure distillation of the Italian style and engineering of the era, which aroused envy and admiration throughout the world.

Rear Suspension Upright

The uprights are components subjected to high stresses, occasional impacts and severe corrosion; the lack of suitable spare parts has often forced many to resort to unsafe solutions.

Marvic is now able to offer tuners and drivers a strut made from hardened aluminium alloy, manufactured based on an original sample using 3D scanning, and fully compliant with the specifications and details as originally intended by the manufacturer.

Inside, in the bearing area, an iron cage is cast into the aluminium, preventing wear between the parts and eliminating axial and parallelism play. It is also fitted with a threaded ring nut to secure the bearing and bronze bushings. A real must-have in terms of safety and quality.

Drivetrain

Given the lack of available spare parts – apart from wheels and suspension uprights – Marvic offers restorers and teams involved in major rally competitions perfect replicas of the aluminium drivetrain assembly for the Lancia Stratos Gr4.

In particular, we offer the clutch bell housing, complete with cover, and the intermediate flange for the flywheel.

These cast aluminium parts, produced by scanning the original components, are precision-engineered spare parts designed to guarantee performance, durability and a style that faithfully reflects the original era – perfect for reliving the golden era of motorsport.
